  1. I forgot my Username or Password. How can I retrieve it or have a new one issued?

    To reset your Password, click "Sign On" then click the link under "Sign On Problems?". Enter either your Username or email address and we will immediately send you an email containing your Username and a link to automatically Sign On with your existing Password.

    If your email address is no longer valid, contact us at [email protected].


  2. Can I change my Password?

    You may change your Password at any time by clicking "My Account" then clicking "Update Password".


  3. Do I have to register to use the site?

    No. You do not have to register to use the site. You can perform searches and purchase pay-per-view articles as an "anonymous" purchaser for a one time viewing. At the time you purchase you have the option NOT to register. Just enter the credit card information into the form on the page. After you click the Purchase Now button you can view the article ONE TIME ONLY. You will need to print or save anything purchased anonymously as you WILL NOT be able to view it online at a later date. You must register and be signed on in order for the Web site to allow for future viewing of your purchases.


  4. Do I have to sign on each time I want to read a publication, issue or article?

    No, you only need to Sign On once on each computer you use. Signing on will place a cookie on your computer that gives you access to all your purchased issues and articles, as well as to your subscriptions and online products. Note: this cookie is only used to allow your computer to access your online account. It will NEVER be used in any way to collect or send data from your computer.


  5. I have an online subscription, but when I sign on with my Username and Password, the Web site says I need to pay for an article. What do I do?

    Your online subscription may have expired. If you're not sure whether or not your subscription is current, check your subscription expiration by clicking "My Account" and clicking "View or Renew Subscription".

    If you don't see the subscription listed on this page, you may have registered twice and signed on with the wrong Username. Sign On using your original Username and Password.

    You can find out if you have more than one registered Username by clicking "Sign On" and clicking the link under "Sign On Problems". Enter your email address and you will immediately be sent an email containing a list of all the accounts in our system with that email address and a new Password for each account. Note: if you do not want to change your Password, do not click the link in the email.


  6. Why can't I access my account anymore?

    You may have inadvertently signed off or the cookie which identifies your account may have been deleted. Simply sign on. If you are using a new computer, if you have loaded a new operating system, or if you are using a new version of your browser, it is possible that cookies are disallowed on your browser. The web site of your browser manufacturer should have instructions for you to allow cookies. It is also possible your subscription has expired. Select "My Account" and select "View or Renew Subscriptions".


  7. Is this a secure site?

    Yes. We know that security is a serious concern for you as an online consumer. That is why our site is a VeriSign Secure Site hosted by Digital River, Inc.. Whenever you see the VeriSign logo, we are using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. When using SSL, all information passing between your computer and our site is encrypted. We always use SSL whenever personal or credit card information is passing between your computer and our site.


  8. Can I subscribe online?

    Yes. Navigate to the desired publication and click the "Subscription Options". Your online subscription is immediate upon payment with a valid credit card using our secure site.


  9. Do I get a receipt for my purchases?

    When you fill out the registration form we ask you to provide an email address to receive an email receipt for your purchase. Registered customers automatically receive email receipts for all purchases when they are Signed On. If you are NOT Signed On at the time of purchase, you must enter your email address on the purchase page in order to receive a receipt in the email.


  10. If I have a print subscription, how can I get an online subscription?

    You might need to purchase a separate online subscription in order to view our publication electronically.


  11. What is an AutoRenew subscription?

    With a monthly AutoRenew subscription, your credit card will be charged for one month's service each month. You may cancel at any time by clicking on "My Account" then "View or Renew Subscriptions" and click on the "Turn Off" link in the Auto Renew Column.


  12. Can I lookup my subscription expiration date?

    Yes, you can find out when your current subscription expires by clicking "My Account" and selecting "View or Renew Subscriptions".


  13. How do I renew my subscription online?

    You will be notified by email prior to your subscriptions expiration date. You can click the link in the email and select the desired subscription option to renew. You can also renew online anytime by clicking "My Account" and clicking "View or Renew Subscriptions".


  14. How can I change or remove a credit card from my online account?

    To remove or change credit card information, click "My Account" and then click "Update Credit Cards".


  15. What credit cards do you accept?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.


  16. Can I pay by check?

    Our Web site is set up to accept credit card purchases only. If you would like to pay by check, you must contact us directly at [email protected].


  17. Can I print publications, issues and articles?

    Yes. You can print any publication, issue or article at any time, provided you follow all copyright restrictions regarding non-distribution of content you print from this Web site.


  18. Will I receive email alerts?

    Yes. Once you have subscribed, you will receive an alert when new content is posted to that publication if that publication offers alerts and if your alerts are turned on. The email alert will contain a link directing you to the new content. You may need to sign on to view it. If you would like to turn these alerts off or choose another delivery method you can do so by clicking "My Account" and clicking "View or Renew Subscriptions".


  19. Can I change my email address for email notifications?

    Yes. Click "My Account" and then click "Update Registration Information" to update your email address.


  20. Can I change any of my registration information?

    Yes. click "My Account" then click "Update Registration Information".


  21. Can I be notified when articles are published about a particular subject?

    Yes. Click "My Account", then click "Update KeywordAlerts." Then enter the keywords or key phrases you wish and "Click Here to Update List". You will be notified when new information is published containing those keywords or phrases.


  22. Is Web delivery reliable?

    Yes. Through the use of our high-end Web site functionality from Digital River Inc., web delivery has proven to be reliable and responsive.


  23. What do I need in order to view a publication, issue or article?

    All publications are stored as PDF, HTML format. PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher to view. The latest version of Acrobat Reader may be downloaded free from www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html.


  24. How do I download or print PDF (Portable Document Format) files?

    To download, click the floppy disk icon within the Acrobat Reader screen. To print, click the printer icon. For more detailed instructions, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrsupport.html.


  25. When I try to view a Portable Document Format (PDF) publication in Internet Explorer, all I see is a blank screen. Why is this happening?

  26. Can I share the online service?

    No. Do not share your Username and Password as others will have the ability to change your information and make purchases under your account. If you print online material from this Web site, it is subject to all copyright laws as if you purchased the printed copy from us in any other manner.

  28. Do I need permission to re-use content?

    If you see an InfoRights link next to the purchase option link, you will need to purchase a permission to re-use the content elsewhere.


  29. How can I get permission to re-use content?

    Browse to the article you want to get permission for and click on the InfoRights link. This will take you to a purchase page where you will be able to obtain permission for the use of the article or issue. If the publisher requires a Pre-approval, you will receive an email stating whether you were granted the approval or not. If the approval was granted you can continue with the purchase of the InfoRights permission.


  30. When I purchase the InfoRights permission for a certain article/issue, do I get access to the article/issue?

    Yes, you do get online access to the article by obtaining a license to the InfoRights permission.


  31. When I purchase an article/issue, do I automatically get the InfoRights permission to re-use the content?

    No, you need to purchase the permission to re-use the content by clicking on the InfoRights link.


  32. What is Pre-approval?

    Pre-approval is when a publisher requires all InfoRights permissions requests to go to them for review before they grant the rights to the customer to ensure that the content will be published in credible and professional sources.
